Newly signed goalkeeper, Abel Metsimetsi revealed that he is happy to be back in the Free State to play against Iran this coming weekend.

The game will kick off at 16h00 at Vodacom Park on Saturday 11th July.

The Northern Cape born goalkeeper played for Free State based Carrara Kicks last season and earned respect as one of the top goalkeepers in the First Division. The Glamour Boys did not waste time luring him to the Village.

He was impressive as Chiefs won the Eastern Cape Premier’s Cup.

“I am looking forward to the game and I am really excited to go to the Free State where I played my best football last season,” he told kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday afternoon.

“The game in PE was an eye opener for me and I am really looking forward to Saturday -so are my teammates. It is never easy playing in front of a vociferous crowd but thank you to the support I received from my teammates, the Technical Team in particular goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker.

I am going to continue working hard at training and grab each and every opportunity I get,” he added.

Match tickets for the game are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite outlets throughout South Africa. Ticket prizes are R40 for Main Grand Stand, R30 for Open Stand (adults), and R15 for juveniles.
