Mbuthu, who has appeared only once for Bafana Bafana against Ivory Coast in a Nations Cup qualifier last year, is expected to arrive in Durban on Wednesday as Khompela is reportedly keen to have him in his squad that is in need of a central midfielder.

The talented midfielder has made 31 appearances for the national under-23 with three goals to his credit.
