Zambian international striker Collins "Notofontofo" Mbesuma is still the top goalscorer in the Castle Premiership despite failing to put one at the back of the net when his club Kaizer Chiefs beat Santos 1-0 in a league match on Wednesday.

Mbesuma, who is reported to be on the wanted list of English Premiership side Chelsea, has scored nine goals. He is likely to extend the lead when Chiefs visit Moroka Swallows at Rand Stadium on Sunday.

The Zambian has pledged to win the 2004/2005 Lesley Manyathela Castle Premier Top Goalscorer award by scoring no less than 20 goals.

The other top scorers are:

Seven goals: Sandile Ndlovu (Dynamos)

Six goals: Mulondo Sikhivhilu (Black Leopards), Lungisani Ndlela (Moroka Swallows)

Five goals: Gift Leremi, Tyren Arendse (both Orlando Pirates) and Alton Meiring (Manning Rangers)
