Kaizer Chiefs utility player, Sihle Mbambo is back at training after being out for the past five months following a meniscus injury he suffered on the 19 April earlier this year. Subsequent to that the Maritzburg born underwent a successful operation.

“I am okay now” the soft speaking youngster told kaizerchiefs.com ahead of Thursday training session in Naturena.

“I am happy to be back at training after spending time on the sidelines. It was tough, let alone frustrating. Thing is, when you have an injury you must enjoy the pain to get through the injury. My family was very encouraging and I never lost hope” he said.

The Kaizer Chiefs no. 19 said the next step is now to get back to full fitness, “I am working very hard to regain my fitness level. The injury was on my right knee so now the first step is to strengthen my muscles on my right leg so that they can be the same with my other leg. I do not know when I will be ready to play. I am going to continue working hard at training and the rest will follow”.
