The Premier Soccer League informed The Amakhosi on Thursday that their next league game against SuperSport United, which was to take place on the 16th September at the Super Stadium in Attridgeville has been moved across the capital to the Vodacom Loftus Stadium in downtown Tshwane. The match will still go ahead on the same day and kick off remains at 15h00.

The two teams met twice during their two PSL matches at Loftus last season and played out an exciting 2-2 thrill-a-minute encounter on the opening day of the 2006/07 season which was on the 27th August last year.

Chiefs hosted SuperSport at the same venue in early January 2007 and it was United though who had the better night defeating Chiefs by two goals to nil.

One would have to go back to the 18th May 2005 to find the last time that Chiefs defeated SuperSport in a league game, incidentally it was Chiefs penultimate game of the 2004/05 season and was played at the Vodacom Loftus Stadium.

In what was a very dramatic and nail biting encounter Chiefs got the winner three minutes from time, and it meant that The Amakhosi would travel to Bloemfontein for their final league game of the season a few days later knowing that victory would hand them a second consecutive PSL title.

Chiefs duly obliged as they defeated Celtic four days later on the final day of the 2004/05 PSL season to successfully defend their title, the victory over SuperSport United a few nights prior to the Celtic game is looked upon as the real title clinching game.
