Matle together with his Club teammate, George Lebese are the only two club representatives selected by coaches, Simon Ngomane and Khabo Zondo for the Bafana Bafana B side popularly known as AmaBheneplas to defend the Cup in Zimbabwe.

Matle who impressed last season playing in the right-back position said he welcomes the opportunity to have some game time after he struggled to break in the team following a long lay off by injury.

“I want to start playing again having not featured in the team this season. The call up gives me an opportunity to regain my confidence and hopefully when I come back things will be much better. I am working very hard like all other guys here because we believe that we can defend the Cosafa Cup,” said Matle also revealing that he is currently sharing a room with George Lebese.

“There is a good vibe between all the players here and this augers well with our mission to do well in Zimbabwe,” he continued.

Bafana Bafana B will jet off to Zimbabwe on Friday, 23 October 2009 and will meet Angola on Monday, 26 October 2009.
