Dou, Wayne ‘Gazi’ Matle and Michael ‘Ace’ Nkambule returned to Kaizer Chiefs Village on Tuesday morning after helping South African Development side earn a point in Botswana over the weekend.

The Development side coached by Serame Letsoaka played a goalless draw against Botswana and they will be looking at bettering that score when the two sides meet in a fortnight as South African side looks to quality for the African Nations Championships played under the auspices of CAF.

Michael Nkambule impressed playing in the heart of the midfield while Wayne Matle sat outside due to knock on his ankle.

“It was disappointing not to take part in that game due to precautionary measures. I hope to be back in the side in the return leg,” said Matle.

The player told kaizerchiefs.com that his focus now was the upcoming fixture against Santos in Cape Town over the weekend. Wayne Matle who made his only and last appearance this season against Ajax Cape Town in December is confident of the team’s chances at Newlands on Sunday.

“We all want to do well in Cape Town and you can see the way the team has been training that we are taking this game seriously,” said the soft-spoken utility player.
