Vladimir Vermezovic has revealed that David Mathebula and Abia Nale will miss the upcoming mouth-watering fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend due to injuries.

This takes the number of players not available this weekend to three with Thomas Sweswe ruled out due to suspension.

Abia Nale and David Mathebula were coincidently behind Sundowns ‘demolition’ the last time the two teams met back in April with Nale scoring the only goal of the match down in Durban. It was Nale who had also created a winner for then teammate, Zito Ogbonna to head home in the first round back in January.

“I want to have all players available for games but at times in football it is not always the case. The injuries to the two are not serious; Nale is struggling with a hamstring while David Mathebula is struggling with his groin. Both players are currently undergoing rehabilitation and will not be rushed back to action,” said Vermezovic.

Meanwhile, Valery Nahayo should start training before the end of the month having had an operation to repair this troublesome groin injury.
