Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Mandla Masango has told kaizerchiefs.com that he will need to work harder this season as compared to last season to get a regular place in the team.

The under-20 international made his debut for the Club last season, scoring on his debut against Benoni Premier United (currently known as Thanda Royal Zulu).

Mandla showed nerves of steel when he stepped up to take the first penalty against Mamelodi Sundowns during the recent Telkom Charity Tournament.

“If you work hard, listen to the coach and play with confidence you can achieve a lot in football. I have been working very hard in particular on my strength. There will always be pressure for every player that dons the Kaizer Chiefs jersey. I am not really worried by as I see it as a motivation to work harder on my game,” he said.

He added, “I have a long way to go and I am going to continue learning from my teammates.”
