Kaizer Chiefs mentor, Muhsin Ertugral has given two of his players, exciting midfielder, Mandla Masango and goalkeeper, Thela Ngobeni permission to join the national U20s ahead of the African Youth Championships to be played in Rwanda later this month.

The Amajita are still high on confidence having won the Cosafa Cup in December where Mandla Masango played a massive role in bringing the cup home.

“It will be a big stage for both players. They will be competing with the best players in their age group in the continent. You can see that Mandla has improved a lot by playing in these games. The same goes with Thela Ngobeni who was deputising Itumeleng Khune in the absence of Emille Baron in the past two months.

We will be following their progress throughout the tournament and we have no doubt that they are going to come back better players. Good luck to the coach, Serame Letsoaka and his boys,” he said.

Both players are currently in camp with the rest of the team and will join up with the Amajita teammates on Wednesday.
