Maphike backs Mosimane to succeed

Legend, Ntsie Maphike has appealed to the South African community to give the newly appointed Bafana Bafana coach, Pitso Mosimane a chance.



South African Football Association announced last week that the Soweto-born, Pitso Mosimane would be the coach for Bafana Bafana for the next four years.



Maphike spoke highly of Mosimane, “I know Pitso very well having played with him at Rockville Lions before I joined the Kaizer Chiefs development. He played just in front of me during those days,” recalled the player who was given the nickname ‘Teargas’ by the adoring fans.



“He definitely has what it takes to succeed. He has the arrogance and the will to succeed. Given a chance he will definitely be successful,” added Maphike.



Mosimane’s first assignment will come on Wednesday, 11 August 2010 when Bafana Bafana take on the might Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly at Soccer City.
