Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba unveiled his plans for the 2004 African Nations Cup and included seven Kaizer Chiefs players in the pool of 39 players.

The squad will be trimmed down to the required 22 in December and Mashaba did not rule out the possibility of calling in more players who were not in the initial list.

Former national under-23 midfielder Jabu Pule made the grade along with World Cup defender Cyril Nzama, goalkeeper Brian Baloyi, Stanton Fredericks, David Radebe and Amakhosi newcomers Jabulani Mendu and Patrick Mayo.
