Defender Patrick Mabedi is doubtful for Wednesday’s Castle Premiership clash against Zulu Royals after suffering a knock in the 1-0 league victory against archrivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

The game was moved from Kings Park Stadium to the much bigger Absa Park in anticipation of huge crowds following Amakhosi's recent success in the Coca-Cola Cup and their 1-0 league victory against archrivals Orlando Pirates. The match kicks off at 16:00.

The Malawian international was struck in the hip by a Pirates player and will undergo tests later today. The seriousness of the injury is yet to be established.

Meanwhile, winger Rene Richards is still on the sidelines with a back problem. The injury is so serious that the youngster could be sidelined for a further six weeks.

Defender David Kannemeyer will start jogging today and could return to action against Royals.
