The Bafana Bafana trio, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Itumeleng Khune and Siphiwe Tshabalala, were given a send-off by the Club after the game against Free State Stars last Saturday at Loftus Stadium.

Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, was at hand to give the stars goodies ahead of their trip to Brazil for the first of three camps lined up by Bafana Bafana coach, Carlos Alberto Parriera.

Letsholonyane, speaking to kaizerchiefs.com following the emotional send-off, thanked the Club and the fans for the gesture.

“First, as players, we wanted to win the game to make sure that we ended the league season on a high note. We were not expecting anything after the game and it was touching when fans remained behind to give us a send-off. The fans have been very supportive in what has been a very tough season for us. There is still a lot to play for, for the guys who are remaining behind, with the two cups coming,” he said.

Tshabalala was equally grateful. “I am humbled by the gesture from both the Club and the fans. We are taking good memories with us to Brazil. I wanted to score today (Saturday) to take my tally to seven goals this season. It did not work my way but I am glad we won the game,” he said.

Vladimir Vermezovic wished the players all the best during the preparations.
