Reneilwe Letsholonyane has issued a warning to those who doubt the team’s ability to win the championship this season. This was after Amakhosi lost their fourth game of the season against archrivals, Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

“Yeye” playing in his first Soweto Derby made way in the 45th minute for Thuso Phala, “We were all very disappointed with the loss to Orlando Pirates. However, I want to warn everyone who thinks that this team is unable to challenge league honours this season,”

“On Saturday things did not work out. Growing up in Soweto, I know that the fans are very disappointed with the loss. In the eyes of our fans it does not matter how many games you win prior to the derby. We did well to win all three games before Saturday but lost where it mattered most to the fans. We will have to put that behind us and focus on the upcoming games.

I have no doubt that we are going to bounce back from the Saturday’s disappointment. It is too early for anyone to write any team off in the league including Kaizer Chiefs,” he warned.
