In a meeting attended by Kaizer Chiefs Chairman Kaizer Motaung and club representative Abdulla Mayet held with Black Leopards Chairman David Thidiela and Leopards brand manager Tshifiwa Thidiela the two clubs reached an agreement on the transfer of Chiefs players Gert Schalkwyk and Emmanuel Ngobese commonly known as Scara to Leopards.

The move which will see the two players move permanently to Leopards for an undisclosed fee is subject to the players and their representatives agreeing on personal terms with Leopards.

The Thohoyandou based team made an approach to the Amakhosi on Saturday evening, after Chiefs and Leopards had closed out their ABSA Premiership League fixtures for 2007 with a 1-1 draw in Tshwane, for the services of Schalkwyk and Ngobese. A deal was concluded on Monday morning between the teams which has paved the way for the players, who were put on transfer by The Amakhosi in August to start playing competitive football again.

Motaung while commenting to kaizerchiefs.com after his meeting with Leopards representative on Monday said, “we feel that this move will be a good one for the players as they can now get the careers on track. We did not want to see them further frustrated and are glad that we were able to come to an arrangement with Leopards for their transfer, it is now up to the players and their agents to work out the finer details and when the window opens in a weeks time the move is expected to be completed”.
