The funeral of the recently slain Kaizer Chiefs MC Jeff Mnguni will take place this Saturday 6th October 2007 at the Assemblies of God Church in Tsakane in Brakpan, where Mnguni lived.

Jeff whose voice became a regular feature over the public address system at Chiefs home games over the past two seasons was brutally murdered at his home in Tsakane on the 29th September.

The funeral will begin at 08h00 am on Saturday and will proceed from the Church to the Vlakfontein Grave Yard at 11h00 am.

Bubbly personality

Kaizer Chiefs Communications manager Thebe Mohatle while talking of the late Jeff Mnguni to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday said, “Jeff was the kind of person you always wanted to be around he had was a wonderful person to talk to and was just a generally pleasant human being”. Mohatle, who worked closely with Mnguni over the past couple of months as they traveled around the country conducting road shows, said that he will miss his slain colleague.

Strong presence

The Chiefs communication manager also said that he along with a large contingent of representatives from the club will be in attendance at Mnguni’s funeral service on Saturday, Mohatle added. “Jeff was not just a work colleague of ours he was a friend and part of our team and the least that I could do is be there to pay my last respects to him, losing such a cheerful character is a loss to the entire Chiefs family club management, staff, players and fans”.
