One of Kaizer Chiefs greatest defenders of all time, Sylvester “City” Kole believes that Jimmy Tau should be in the Bafana Bafana squad to play against Namibia next week following his performances for the team especially in the second half of the season.

EL Capitan who grabbed his first goal of the season against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday has been on form for the Glamour Boys this season since reclaiming the right back position from youngster, Lawrence Molekwane and Tshifiwa Mmbooi.

“He is definitely my favourite player at the moment not only because he is playing at the back but for what he has offered to the Club. He is cool, calm and collected at the back let alone his experience.

He lost form towards the end of last season but this season he has bounced back strongly scoring in our last game. It is a mystery that the national team coach has once again ignored him for the upcoming game against Namibia,” said Kole who had paid a visit to the Chiefs Village on Friday afternoon and got to meet the Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung.

Kole who joined Chiefs from Grinaker Wanderers who represented the Club between 1976-1989 also told kaizerchiefs.com that he still follows Club’s games and believes that the Glamour Boys were unlucky this season.

“There is obviously no comparison between this side and the teams that played in the yester year but I believe the boys should have done better this season but luck eluded them. I believe that with cups coming up they are going to once again put a strong challenge,” he added.
