Kick Off magazine have apologized to the Amakhosi in their issue dating the 26th September 2005 for having placed in an article about Jimmy Tau’s transfer to the Amakhosi from the Buccaneers in their magazine two weeks ago.

The article stated that well known soccer agent Glyn Binkin met with club representative to discuss Tau’s transfer from Pirates to Chiefs. In the apology Kick Off state that Binkin did not meet with Chiefs during the transfer discussions.

Amakhosi team manager Bobby Motaung reacting to the apology said “this should be a lesson to Kick Off - they need to check the factual accuracy of their stories before they print them. This is rule number one of journalism”. In the apology - there is also reference made to Jimmy Tau and Orlando Pirates as incorrect reporting also inconvenienced them.
