Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral has revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will miss the game against Moroka Swallows this weekend because of injury.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper pulled his groin ahead of the Ajax Cape Town game last week. Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday afternoon, the Turk was adamant that “Itu” would be ready to play next week.

“We decided not to rush “Itu” for the game against Swallows. It would not have helped his cause really, taking into consideration that the player is also in contention for Bafana Bafana place. He will rest this weekend and we expect him back next week. It is not a serious injury,” he said.

Goalkeeper, Emille Baron who did well against Ajax Cape Town last Saturday is expected to stand between the poles against Moroka Swallows.

Meanwhile the Kaizer Chiefs mentor has mentioned that Dominic Isaacs is making progress on his injury, “He is making remarkable progress after aggravating his injury in January. He is doing work with the Team Physio at this point in time.

Jose Torrealba who has a problem with his back should be back in two weeks time. Ibe Zito Ogbonna who is currently suffering from tonsillitis was admitted to the hospital in Morningside on Thursday and will probably miss the game against Swallows,” he added.
