Itumeleng Khune has said that he and his teammates have put their superb start in the Premiership behind them and are now focusing on the upcoming return leg MTN8 semifinal against Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday evening.

The first game at FNB between the two sides failed to produce a goal but this time one team will proceed to the MTN8 final to be held on Saturday, 10 September 2011 at a venue to be confirmed.

“We have been playing well and have registered impressive victories in the league but those will count nothing when we meet Ajax Cape Town this coming weekend,” said Khune who was voted ‘Man of the Match’ on Wednesday night for his exploits in between the poles.

The Bafana Bafana no. 1 who is expected to be the last line of defence when Bafana Bafana meet Niger in a crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier believes that Chiefs has got enough experience to go through to the finals.

“We cannot take anything for granted. Ajax has always been a good side but we are going to Cape Town to fight. We want to be in the final and we are going through,” he told kaizerchiefs.com.

Teammate Dominic Isaacs believes that the second leg will be much more open, “It will be a different ball game in Cape Town. I think it is going to be an open game as compared to when we met at FNB Stadium.

“Personally I want to see my team proceeding to the final. I will always be grateful for what Ajax Cape Town did for me but sentiments on Saturday will be thrown out of the window. I am going to fight for the team, my family, the coaching staff and the Kaizer Chiefs Family in its totality,” said Isaacs who spent eight seasons with Ajax before joining the Glamour Boys at the start of 2008/2009 season.

The game will kick off at 20:15.
