Khune happy to be over opening game

Amakhosi and Bafana Bafana keeper Itumeleng Khune has told Kaizerchiefs.com that he is pleased to have got the first game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup over and is looking forward to playing in South Africa's next game against Uruguay on Wednesday.



"I can not describe how it was to play in the opening game, it is one of those moments you need to experience on a personal level to be able to understand what I felt during the game against Mexico: said Khune.



During the Mexico encounter Khune managed to hold his nerve and made important saves to keep South Africa in the game at crucial stages, he was pleased with his own performance in the game and wants to carry on his form into the next game.



As he told Kaizerchiefs.com "When you are a goalkeeper you understand what your responsibilities are and I needed to make the saves for the team. It is pleasing to me on a personal level because I was able to contribute in an important way to the team winning a point in the first game, not just me I feel the entire team played well against Mexico. Now there is Uruguay to look forward to and try and produce a better performance".



Amakhosi midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane like wise was content with his contribution in the opening game against Mexico but believes he can give more in the next match against Uruguay. As he explained saying, "it was good to start against Mexico I think I okay, playing in the World Cup was always a wish of mine and to finally achieve that was great. I do feel that I can give more to the team in the next game".
