Goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has told kaizerchiefs.com that Mpumalanga Black Aces, currently fighting for their lives to stay in the Absa Premiership, should not expect any favours when the two sides square up at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria tonight.

Kick-off for the game that was abandoned last week due to bad weather conditions is 7:30pm.

“We are desperate for points,” said Khune, who was praised for his performance against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

“We are quite aware that (Mpumalanga Black) Aces is desperate to use us as the ladder in their mission to survive relegation but we are also desperate to register our first win this season and finish as high up as possible in the log,” said the player affectionately known as ‘Spider Kid’.

The Glamour Boys were leading the game by 1-0 when it was called off and they should have won the Soweto derby on Saturday but were let down by finishing.

“We have put the disappointment of not winning the Soweto derby on Saturday behind us and we are now fully focused on taking home maximum points against Aces. It will be a tough game but we are prepared to fight for a win. We have been playing well since the league resumed early this month and one thing we have been lacking is luck. This time I am sure we going to turn the corner,” added Khune.

Tickets for the game are already on sale at various Shoprite/Checkers outlets including Computicket around the country. Fans are advised to buy new tickets, as tickets used last Wednesday on the abandoned game are no longer valid for this game.
