Club Legend and Development coach, Doctor Khumalo will be jetting out of the country next week to Argentina and then Uruguay following an invitation facilitated by 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee South Africa.

Doctor, who is World Cup Organizing Committee South Africa ambassador will, among other things, provide the media of both countries with the latest 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee updates, and attend Argentina’s crucial 2010 qualifier against Peru on the 10th October 2009.

“I am sure my visit to Argentina will be a good omen for their national team,” Doctor jokingly told kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday morning.

“I am looking forward to the trip as I will also have an opportunity to visit my former club there, Club Ferrocarril Oeste (Doctor player for Club Ferrocarril Oeste back in 1995). I am told my former teammates and everyone at the club is excited about my visit there. I will also meet Maradona and the team ahead of their fixture against Peru. Most importantly for me though will be spending sometime with Boca Juniors academy and another top team in Uruguay,” he said.

Meanwhile, Khumalo has congratulated Mr. Bheki Shongwe on his appointment as Managing Director of the Club.

“He has been with the Club for a while and certainly knows the culture. I know him as a very humble person, very knowledgeable about football. He is definitely going to add value to what is the biggest sporting brand in the country, Kaizer Chiefs. Best wishes to him,” concluded Khumalo.
