16 December is a day of great significant in South African history due to the historical events that took place. All South Africans will be celebrating the Day of Reconciliation, while Kaizer Chiefs will take on Ajax Cape Town in an ABSA Premiership match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria.

However the Amakhosi will not be looking to reconcile with the Urban Warriors, but will be looking to complete a double over the Cape side in the 2009/10 season league matches, having thrashed them 3-0 when the two sides met in the first leg.
