Born on 3 June 1980 in Katlehong, Scara Ngobese kick started his career at Kaizer Chiefs Development but could not get promotion to the first team and instead moved to another team.

He however returned ‘home’ at the start of 2004/2005 season to help the Glamour Boys defend the league title playing under the tutelage of Ted Dimutru.

“We are all shocked to hear about Scara Ngobese’s passing...it is sad to hear of his passing,” reacted Chiefs Football Manager on the passing away of one of the talented players to have don the gold & black jersey in the past decade.

“Scara came to see us recently this year and he expressed his desire to return to the side even though we could see that physically he was not in good shape.

We encouraged him to get fit because football was everything for him. He has now passed the baton to other players to continue where he left off.”

“We all know what type of a player Scara was and he contributed immensely to the Club during his stay here between 2004 – 2008. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Kaizer Chiefs Family to send our heartfelt condolences to the Family of Scara and the football fraternity in its entirety,” added Motaung.
