Following the tragic death of SABC’s seasoned sports journalist Maseru Koaho on Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs Football Club sent a message of condolences to his colleagues and family.

Koaho, who met his untimely death following a car accident in Westonaria on his way home on Saturday night, will be missed, said Chiefs spokesman Thebe Mohlatle.

Koaho ,who was due to leave for Algiers, Algeria, yesterday to cover the All Africa Games for the public broadcaster has proven how innovative and dedicated he was to his job.

“The Chiefs family is shattered to hear about the passing away of Maseru.

“He was a journalist with integrity and a reporter who did his work honestly and professionally. Chiefs will miss his warm smile and infectious laughs at press conferences and footballing events. South Africa has lost a giant.

“Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
