Following the outcome of the PSL Disciplinary Committee hearing, the Kaizer Chiefs management held a meeting to deliberate on the matter. The following therefore applies:-
Pursuant to the charges preferred against Kaizer Chiefs by the PSL, Kaizer Chiefs pleaded guilty in the interest of achieving a speedy resolution to demonstrate our commitment to eliminate such unbecoming behaviour in the PSL.
However, Kaizer Chiefs finds the sentence meted out by the Disciplinary Committee unacceptable as we have reason to believe that the Disciplinary Committee failed to apply their mind. Kaizer Chiefs thus decided to lodge an appeal and cannot make further statements on this matter until the process is finalised.
