Kaizer Chiefs management wishes to extend a word of thanks to the members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), for apprehending and charging a 16 year old criminal for impersonating Kaizer Chiefs officials under the pretext of being the Public Relations Agent who recruits players for the Club’s youth development programme.



“After information was received from different victims, Amakhosi swiftly acted upon this inhumane criminal act and through the assistance of Mondeor detectives department, apprehended the suspect,” said Thebe Mohatle, Head of Education of the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development.



“The last victim who has since contacted Kaizer Chiefs was due to pay R4200.00 and at the time she contacted Kaizer Chiefs, the balance amount left was R800.00” he added.



The matter is now being investigated by the police and the public is requested to please report to the nearest Police Station, any information that could assist in the speedy prosecution of the suspect.



“On behalf of Kaizer Chiefs, I would like to make a plea to the public, to please contact us @ 011 941 1465, should they suspect any foul play in all our mass recruitment activities” said Siyabulela Makunga, Public Relations Manager.
