Kaizer Chiefs duo called up to Bafana Bafana squad

Itumeleng Khune and Siphiwe Tshabalala are the two representatives from Kaizer Chiefs in the squad named by Bafana Bafana coach Joel Santana at Safa House on Wednesday afternoon. Bafana Bafana takes on Australia in an international friendly on August 19.



Ex Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Siyabonga Nkosi has also been recalled by the Brazilian coach, Joel Santana.



Bafana Bafana goalminder, Itumeleng Khune told kaizerchiefs.com that he was happy with his call up in the national team for the game against the Socceroos, “I am glad to have kept my place in the squad. Competition in the national team is always tough. I am looking forward to the game as you know that the game is a preparation for our two upcoming games against Nigeria and Siera Leone in September and October respectively.



"We did not do well during the recent qualifying games where we lost two games, won one and drew one. I am also happy to see the guys like Benni (McCarthy), Siyabonga Nkosi and others back in the team as they bring with a lot of experience in the team”.said Khune.
