Jimmy Jambo has called on his teammates to raise their game this week if they harbor any ambition to win the league title this season.

The Amakhosi title credential will come under scrutiny in the next couple of days with two high profile games against fellow title challengers SuperSport United on Wednesday, 30 November 2011 and then Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, 04 December 2011.

The Zimbabwean affectionately known as ‘Jambo Jet 747’ speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Monday afternoon said; “It is a crucial week for us; facing to top teams in the league. Our 100% focus though is on SuperSport United.

“We are taking it one game at a time. The win against SuperSport United this Wednesday is a must that is we harbor any ambitions to win the league title. They are leading us with four points and we beat them we will close the gap in the Absa Premiership standings.

“We are aware of the tough seven days ahead as both teams are ahead of us in the log but we cannot start thinking about Mamelodi Sundowns.

Jambo added that the spirit in the camp is high; “We have been doing well in the past couple of days but we have not been scoring goals. The Technical Team has been working on addressing this in training. The spirit in the camp remains high and we all excited with the game against SuperSport United coming up,” added Jambo.
