The country will once again be divided into two on Saturday, 17 September 2011, as the two giants square up at Soccer City Complex, FNB Stadium.

Kaizerchiefs.com: Jess, thank you for taking time to talk to kaizerchiefs.com ahead of once again a potentially thrilling encounter between the countries’ two biggest clubs…

Jessica Motaung: It is a massive game for us at FNB Stadium tomorrow. The supporters stand to win big at the stadium and this is all thanks to our partnership with Vodacom. There are big prizes to be won by the supporters.

Supporters stand a chance of winning a Web Box, 32’’ LCD TV, R1 000 Vodacom Gift Card and Kaizer Chiefs Hamper worth R6 500.

There will be activation from our Supporters Club who will be there to register, sell the Club’s merchandise and of course to interact with our supporters.

This is a call for us to also work together as a family. We are quite pleased in the manner our supporters have been buying tickets.

This derby is about RISING, we want to RISE, not only on the field but off the field as well.

Kaizerchiefs.com: This week you also took time to visit Phefeni High School in Soweto…

Jessica Motaung: It was such a wonderful experience for us to go to Phefeni to connect with Phefeni and continue to celebrate the Heritage Month. The learners really inspired us to continue giving back. They were also happy to see some of our players like Mthokozisi Yende, George Lebese, Lucky Khune & Keegan Ritchie.

It was incredible to see the youth of our country, the leaders of tomorrow and this for us is a start of a huge campaign in promoting education and participation in sports.

We donated a full kit for the boys and we will also be donating a full kit for netball. The school will also be at FNB Stadium on Saturday for the Soweto derby.

Kaizerchiefs.com: There are a couple of Roadshows around Gauteng. Tell us more about this…

Jessica Motaung: In partnership with our sponsors, Vodacom, we had a successful Roadshow at Sammy Marks Square (Pretoria) and Tembisa Mall on Thursday.

Our supporters came in numbers with some of them offering words of support to the team.

On Friday, 16 September 2011, there are Roadshows at city centre, Joubert Park and Tsakane Mall. We will have our full Supporters Club team on both Roadshows selling the Club merchandise, signing new members and most importantly interacting with the supporters.

Kaizerchiefs.com: There have been concerns about seating arrangements at FNB Stadium with some fans complaining to the media…

Jessica Motaung: Stadium Management have committed themselves to making sure there is proper seating at the stadium. It is block seating. There were some challenges from our last derby around the issue of seating and as the Club we are committed to ensuring a good match experience.

Kaizerchiefs.com: How many tickets have been sold to date?

Jessica Motaung: More than 50 000 tickets have been sold for this game. We would like to urge our supporters to continue purchasing tickets at Shoprite/Checkers and Computicket countrywide. We are also quite aware of the people who have been selling fake tickets at the stadium. Those who continue doing this will face the full might of the law!
