Dominic Isaacs has described joining Chiefs as a ‘new chapter’ in his life. The hard tackling defender joined Amakhosi in a move that saw striker, Mabhudi Khenyeza joining Ajax in a straight swap deal.

Isaacs, a former School of Excellence player, spent eight seasons with Ajax Cape Town and is delighted to have joined Kaizer Chiefs in a three year contract.

“I am nervous but very excited to have signed for the biggest Club in the country, Kaizer Chiefs. I see this as a new chapter in my life and linking up with coach, Muhsin Ertugral is a dream come true. I met the Chairman and I am honoured to have met the man who has given so much to South African football. I cannot wait to meet my new teammates at training. I know few of them, I have played against them in my years while playing at Ajax” he said holding the Amakhosi scarf high.

“I know that will have to work hard to win a place in the team. I want to win lots of silverware with the Club. It is also my dream to play in the national team having played for all the junior national teams. But to realise that dream, it will have to start here at Chiefs” he said.

The player together with his manager, Richard Gomes were taken through the facilities in Naturena and to the training pitch where Isaacs will do a minimum of two hours every day, working on realising his objectives.
