Abia Nale has expressed his desire to stay at Chiefs and win trophies.

The Vaal-born tricky midfielder was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after making his first start for the Glamour Boys against Mamelodi Sundowns last Sunday.

Nale who has been used mostly as a sub this season, started against Sundowns and forced a save out of Wayne Sandilands at the stroke of halftime before making a way for Reneilwe Letsholonyane, a change the Coach said was ‘tactical’.

“It was good to get a start after such a long time. I have been working hard in training and I think the Technical team might have noticed that.

I was not entirely happy with my performance but I also know that to be at your best you need couple of games under your belt,” said Nale.

He continued paying tribute to his family as a pillar of strength.

“They have been there for me keeping me focused.

The look at football as life and at times things do not go your way. I have had to keep my head up and work hard.

Nale started his career at Kaizer Chiefs with storm winning Man of the Match awards in his first three matches for the Glamour Boys; “I am still ambitious.

I want to stay at Chiefs and win trophies.

Age is not on my side. I need to play regular football. I want to knuckle down – work and the rest will come” added Abia Nale who will be doing a Christmas Party for children and old people in Vaal during the course of the month.

“This is time for giving and I do this every year.

This is something very close to my heart and I owe this to the community of Vaal for their support through and through,” he said.
