George Lebese was among the scorers when the Glamour Boys returned to winning ways against Maritzburg United at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 14 September 2013.

Lebese came from the bench and scored with his first touch to make it 2-0 to the hosts after Knowledge Musona had put his side ahead in the first half.

"Our objective was to win the game following the games against Supersport United (Chiefs lost 3-1) and Moroka Swallows (drew 1 all).

We are all delighted with the win against Maritzburg United, but we know we have a tough week ahead of us so no one is getting carried away."

Lebese told kaizerchiefs.com that competition for places in the team is fierce; "We have a competitive squad and we are all fighting for a place in the team.

I was glad to be given an opportunity and that I was able to score my first goal this season.

I am going to continue to work hard to improve my game.

My objective is always to help the team and on a personal level, I want to continue to improve and give more to the team than I did last season," added Lebese.

Meanwhile the Glamour Boys will be on the road to Bloemfontein for a mouth-watering Absa Premiership clash against Celtic at Free State Stadium.

Kickoff for the game on Tuesday, 17 September 2013 is at 19h30.
