Newly signed Kaizer Chiefs striker, Ibe Zito Ogbonna gave tribute to his teammates following his brace in his debut for the Club on Saturday night. Zito scored his first with a well taken header in the 31st minute and from the spot in the 90th minute.

Bidvest Wits University had no answers for the burly striker who mesmerised them the whole night with his clever runs and superior positioning.

“I am happy first for the team following a loss against Orlando Pirates last weekend,” said the Nigerian.

“The spirit in the team is fantastic and it showed tonight. I think my performance can be credited to the work we did as a team. It was good that we won the game. I played my first game tonight after a long time and I am still struggling with fitness and I am hoping to get better and better.

I just want to thank everyone in the team for making me feel comfortable. I know that there is a lot of work ahead and I believe that we have what it takes to achieve more as a team”.
