Jose Torrealba has expressed his disappointment for missing out on the last game of the season against Platinum Stars in Olen Park on Saturday.

Kick off is at 15h00.

“It has been a disappointing season for me personally as I have struggled a lot with injuries and now I am missing the last game having played in the last three games,” said a visibly disappointed Torrealba known to football fanatics as EL Bhuda.

Torrealba is hoping to bounce back following a disappointing loss against Santos on Wednesday, “It was a very difficult game to play in and credit should go to Santos for grabbing their opportunities on the night.

“I think we tried very hard to claw our way back into that game but things did not work out…in the second half we really put pressure on our opponents. Santos got a lot of confidence on the goal they scored early in the game and when they grabbed their second they started to believe they could win. Personally the defender who was marking me was very tight and never gave me any space to maneuver.”

“We know how disappointed the fans were after that game and we do apologise as players. The game against Platinum Stars presents us with an opportunity to return back to winning ways.

The game against Orlando Pirates and Santos is now water under the bridge. It is important for us to finish in the log as high as possible and a win on Saturday will make things easier for us,” he said.

Jose told kaizerchiefs.com that he has enjoyed his time at Naturena despite being troubled by injuries all season.

“This is certainly one of the great Clubs around and I have had a fantastic time since day one. The pressure here is more compared to my former club. The fans expect you to do well in each and every game.

I am going back home to refresh my mind. I will come back more prepared next season…hopefully I will stay injury free. It is my dream to continue winning trophies with this great Club. We won the MTN8 in my first season here and I am looking forward in winning even more in the future,” he concluded.
