The Glamour Boys were back at training on Monday in preparation for the upcoming clash against unpredictable Santos on Friday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

One of the players who looked sharp at training was Mandla Masango who lost his place in the team just before U20 World Cup in Egypt in September.

“I am fit now, all that is left is match fitness,” said the player affectionately known in football circles as “Bullet”.

“I have been working hard since coming back from Egypt and I am now waiting for the coach to give me an opportunity.”

Masango is aware that he is facing stiff competition on the right side of midfield with the likes of Abia Nale and Tshepo Bulu also breathing down on this neck.

“I compete to win,” he told kaizerchiefs.com confidently following a grueling training session at the Club’s headquarters in Naturena.

“The competition is always very tough at Chiefs. It is upon myself to work hard at training like I have done in the past couple of weeks,” added the Kwaggafontein born youngster who has already made four starts for Chiefs in the league this season.
