Jose Torrealba has said that he is excited to be staying for yet another season with the Glamour Boys after signing a one-year contract early this month. Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, also confirmed the news.

The Venezuelan born striker was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Sunday afternoon from his home in Johannesburg. He had expressed the same wish mid May as rumors that he was going to be offloaded filled the other sections of the media.

“I have always expressed my wish to stay on at Kaizer Chiefs and I could not be more happier to have extended my stay for a season,” he said.

“I am looking forward to the upcoming season and I have no doubt that we have a squad to challenge big honours,” continued Torrealba.

Meanwhile Torrealba has predicted that the World Cup will go to South America on July 11, “You have to look at the way South American teams have been playing and topping their groups in the first round. I think Brazil will win it but should be said that Argentina has also been very impressive.

Overall it has been a wonderful World Cup and in football at times you never know what might happen as you have seen some of the top teams already out of the tournament,” said Jose revealing that he will be at Soccer City to watch South American derby, Argentina taking on equally impressive Mexico.
