Kaizer Chiefs have extended the contracts of Bernard Parker and Siboniso Gaxa.
Gaxa signed for another two years (1 July 2016-30 June 2018). The right-back joined Chiefs in 2012, having since participated in 122 official games wearing the Gold and Black jersey.
Meanwhile, Parker’s contract has been extended until 30 June 2019 (1 July 2016-30 June 2019).
Parker arrived at the Village in 2011. The striker has played since in 152 official games for the Amakhosi, scoring 40 goals.
He grew up being an Amakhosi and, in particular, closely following Siyabonga Nomvete during the 2000/2001 season when the striker scored 18 times (league and cup games). Parker was 14-year-old at the time.
“It’s an awesome feeling to have extended my contract,” the striker explains. “It’s an honour to be associated with the Kaizer Chiefs Family. As a Kaizer Chiefs supporter and, currently, a player – I am living my dream!”
