Kaizer Chiefs midfield general, Tinashe Nengomasha took the field at last on Sunday during the 2nd leg MTN 8 semifinal against Moroka Swallows having missed out on the first two games, first leg of the two legged semi final and quarter final against Santos.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com, he said he was delighted that the waiting is over. “It felt good when I finally played against Swallows on Sunday after missing two games. The process was made easier that the coach (Muhsin Ertugral) took me along to camp to be with the playing squad. I did not miss out on anything as I was there with the guys before the process of was finalised.”

“The process dragged because it is now my 6th year in the country with for Kaizer Chiefs. I can now focus on contributing to the team’s success nothing else. Naturalisation means I now have two homes, Zimbabwe and South Africa. It is never an easy process to apply for naturalisation as there is a lot that has to take place behind the scenes for the process to be finalised.

“I am grateful that the papers were processed early to allow me to register before the start of the 2008/09 season. I want to thank the Kaizer Chiefs Management for all the effort they put in this to ensure that it happens,” added ‘The General’, as the player is affectionately known in football circles.
