Josta Dladla revealed to the press conference on Tuesday night that he was ‘enjoying football again after a very long time’. Josta was voted the ‘Man of the Match’ at last night’s MTN8 quarterfinal vs. Wits at the Rand Stadium.

Chiefs no. 9 who started his career at Bidvest Wits was at his best as he inspired the Amakhosi to a crucial 3-1 win at Rand Stadium. It was his superb passing that created for Nkosinathi Nhleko to score his first official goal for the Club.

“After a very long time, I can say that I am enjoying football again,” said the visibly delighted Josta Dladla.

“Credit should go to my teammates for supporting each other out on the field. We were playing a very difficult team in Bidvest Wits but we managed to pull through. The difference was that we took our chances on the night,” he said.

The Johannesburg born midfielder also paid a glowing tribute to Nkosinathi Nhleko who has had tough time with Club fans.

“He works very hard at training and he told me during the week that if he plays against Wits he will score. He is a quality player and I am sure that he is going to score a lot of goals for us this season. It was good that he scored to take pressure off him.”

Josta also thanked the coach for giving him a more central role, “I am enjoying myself at the moment but as a professional you should be ready to play wherever the coach wants to play you,” he added.
