Mandela affectionately known in South Africa as ‘Madiba’ (his Xhosa clan name) devoted 67 years of his life to public service. His commitment in serving the world is second to none and continues to be a beacon of the global community.

July 18 has been declared internationally as Mandela Day. It is more than a celebration of Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy; it is a global movement to take his life’s work into a new century and change the world for better.
