St. Peters College in Sunninghill had given students opportunity to spend a day on their dream companies and follow careers they are interested in. Daniel a staunch Kaizer Chiefs fan wrote to the Club of which his request was accepted.

Accompanied by his mother, Daniel got to meet Club captain, Jimmy Tau and all the players including the coach, Vladimir Vermezovic.

“I am a huge Kaizer Chiefs fan and this to me is a proudest moment in my life,” said the ecstatic youngster.

“My dream is to become a footballer and of course I would like to don the Kaizer Chiefs jersey. I have had a fantastic time here and all the guys are very nice despite being big stars they are all down to earth. Although I love the whole team , my favourite players is Siphiwe Tshabalala, Josta Dladla, Itumeleng Khune and Jimmy Tau. The coach also took time to chat to us about the game. The overall experience was fantastic,” he said.

Daniel ,who is currently playing for Randburg F.C. said he was hopeful that the team is going to turn the corner following two defeats in the league and failing to defend the lucrative MTN8 trophy.

“We had a great preseason beating the likes of Manchester City. I have no doubt that we going to bounce back and start winning games. The guys played their hearts out against Ajax Cape Town last Sunday, which was encouraging. As fans we should rally behind them I am sure we going to start winning games,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs Development Technical Manager has revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that youngsters like Daniel dreaming of donning the famous gold and black jersey will have an opportunity to attend trials to be hosted in the East Rand on 26 September 2009.
