Executive Chairman, Mr. Kaizer Motaung has declared Friday, 11 June 2010 as ‘public holiday’ at the Club headquarters in Naturena to allow staff to attend the most anticipated opener between Bafana Bafana and Mexico without any glitches.

“Chincha Guluva” as the Chairman was known during his heyday made the announcement following a Club two-day workshop in Bryanston.

Meanwhile The World Cup celebration at the Village started on Wednesday when at 12:00 the entire Management and staff blew vuvuzelas in support for the national team

Dara Carroll, Kaizer Chiefs BRAND MANAGER said it was important for corporates, organizations and everyone to support the national team, “I have no doubt that we can do it come June, 11. The support for the national team is very crucial and at Chiefs we have always supported Bafana Bafana. Many of us will be at Soccer City or different fan fests come Friday to make sure that we all witness what is ‘once in a lifetime experience’,” she said.
