Amakhosi young defender Bevan Fransman will miss the Castle Premiership match against Santos on December 20 after he was roped into the national under-23 squad for the 2004 Olympics qualifier against Algeria in Rustenburg on the same day.

Fransman, who had a sterling performance against Wits in the Coca-Cola Cup semifinals, is the only Chiefs player in the squad.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Chard Harpur (Manning Rangers) and Jacob Mokhasi (Wits University)

Defenders: Nasief Morries (Panathinaikos FC), Jemaine Christian (Moroka Swallows), Morgan Gould (Jomo Cosmos), Tsietsie Mahoa (Wits University), Francois Adams (Zulu Royals), Edward Malinga (Orlando Pirates) and Bevan Fransman (Kaizer Chiefs)

Midfielders: Gift Leremi, Joseph Makhanya and Benedict Vilakazi (Orlando Pirates), Gert Schalwyk (Wits University), Sibusiso Sithole (Black Leopards), Anele Zibi (Ajax Cape Town) and Gabriel Mofokeng (Ajax Amstedam).

Strikers: Simphiwe Mbambo (Dyanmos), Mabhuti Khanyeza (Lamontville Golden Arrows), Elro van Heerden (Copenhagen) and Ryan Botha (Mypa FC).
