Stanton Lewis insisted on Monday that he was not worried about his past and he was looking forward launching his career with the Glamour Boys following a 6 months loan deal from Ajax Cape Town.

The Florida, Johannesburg born striker was touted as the ‘next best thing’ couple of years ago and earned himself a move to Holland giants, Ajax Amsterdam.

“It was my dream to go to Europe and I achieved that but then I was unlucky with injuries. I believe I can still deliver as class is permanent and form is temporal,”

“I am now looking to the future – the past in the past,” said the player affectionately known in football circles as Stiga.

“I am ready to play against AmaZulu on Wednesday night but again it all depends to the Coach if he feels that I am ready. It will of course take time for me to adjust to the way Chiefs plays as compared to the Ajax system. I want to help Chiefs win the league and that is all I am focused on right now,” added Lewis.
