The international media have been speculating on a possible move by Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala to Europe, with Skysports.com reporting that the Bafana winger has been linked to clubs in England, Germany and France.

The Soweto-born midfielder signed a three-year contract with the Glamour Boys at the beginning of 2009/2010 season and has two years to go on his contract that ends in 2012.

It has been suggested that English Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic are potential suitors for Tshabalala who played in all three of Bafana Bafana’s games at the 2010 World Cup, the German Bundesliga club Hanover have also expressed interests in his services.

Hanover escaped relegation during the last league campaign and have the largest contingent of African players of all the teams in the 18 team German first division, French giants Paris Saint Germain have also according to reports shown an interest in the Chiefs player.

Tshabalala was quoted as saying to Skysports, "I think I have had a decent World Cup despite losing in the first round. The Kaizer Chiefs have been great to me but I want to play in Europe, so let's wait and see."

On another note the goal which Tshabalala scored against Mexico during South Africa’s first game of the World Cup, leads the votes on fifa.com and heads the list of the top ten goals of the competition just as the competition progresses past the half way stage.
