Kaizer Chiefs and arch rivals Orlando Pirates will meet for the Derby in the 2007/2008 Premiership season. This one dubbed the KC Derby 2008, is still ranked the biggest PSL fixture in South Africa and promises to be an even more nail biting part two episode to the mouth-watering first leg. Both teams drew 2-2 on the 24th November, 2007 before an international audience as the game was broadcast to an audience of millions of football fans.



Despite log positions, this fixture has no less than a magical effect on South African football fans as they prepare to descend on the city of Mafikeng like a wave of a Gold and Black ocean! Kaizer Chiefs supporters are very good travelers and this weekend will be no exception as families set out on the ‘Yellow brick road”.



This Golden Path will not lead to disappointment as the Mighty Amakhosi currently on-form and hungry for more wins after last week’s mid-week clash with Arrows (Golden arrows 0 vs. Kaizer Chiefs 1), prepare for this encounter aim to dish out wizardry and beautiful football on the field! Mafikeng Stadium will be transformed to stage this fixture as the city of Mafikeng opens its gates to the Amakhosi Family!



The previous encounter between the two Giants depicts a level field, but Kaizer Chiefs have shown of late a touch of the lethal flair they are known for.



ENTERTAINMENT AND PRIZES



Ntando will bring the ‘Love’ to the Peaceful atmosphere as he and his dancer’s rock the hearts of the Amakhosi Faithful. South Africa’s Dance Queen, Chomee will add her sexy flair on the field as she is set to give a truly exciting performance.



The KC Derby 2008 will be used to mobilize fans and supporters to sign up for their membership. On-field promotions include Kaizer Chiefs hamper give away with Vodacom Cellphones, Kaizer Chiefs Nike home jersey, calendars and other Kaizer Chiefs merchandise. In honour of Mother’s Day, 11th May, 5 lucky Mothers who are Gold Members of the Family will walk away with these hampers. These Mothers must have signed for their Gold Membership on the 10th May, to be a part of this true family experience.



CURTAIN RAISER



The Kaizer Chiefs Ladies Celebrity Team will make their Derby debut before the main fixture. This team, much loved and fast gaining popularity, have played twice this season and relish the big stage to represent the ‘Ladies’ of the Glamour Boys in true style. These Ladies are passionate Khosi4Life and promise their opponents on the day, Motsweding FM Ladies Team, a ‘run for their money’ and a dazzling on-field experience.



Supporters are urged to purchase their tickets early for the KC Derby 2008 Golden Route experience! The North West will be formidable hosts for this A category fixture as all stops have been pulled out for security to be of the best standards. The ‘Good Witch of the North, need only make a courtesy appearance at this one, as the Glamour Boys make it known that they mean business as supporters will not be disappointed.



People are also urged to travel safely on route to Mafikeng.
