The appearance of Kaizer Chiefs players at the South African qualifiers for the 2005 FIFA Interactive World Cup held on the 12th November at the Edenvale indoor soccer centre in Johannesburg, has rung in praise for Chiefs from Football World Governing Body FIFA.

A FIFA spokesperson said of the Chiefs players attendance at Saturday’s event, “The FIFA Interactive World Cup team was delighted to welcome Kaizer Chiefs players, John Moshoeu, Bevan Fransman and Siphiwe Mkhonza to the South Africa regional tournament. They were extremely popular with the large crowd and their appearance was a great success. Many thanks to Kaizer Chiefs!”

Chiefs have been the most high profile attendees who appear on the game to have graced any of the regional Finals held around the world, the only other regional final to be attended by a professional player was when Fulham and England u-21 player Zeb Knight attended the United Kingdom finals, which were held on the 15th October.

The South African finals were won by Johannesburg resident David Letsoalo, who until Saturday had never played the FIFA 06 Game on XBOX like the old saying goes you need a little luck to go along way in football.

For David that long way is first a trip to London for the Interactive World Cup Finals in December and than a trip to the FIFA World Cup in June next year to be held in Germany.
